There are multiple avenues to get involved in the Music and Worship Ministry. The Music and Worship Ministry of First Baptist Church is committed to exalting the Savior and reaching our community for Christ. Opportunities for college students and adults include:

Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir is comprised of adults and students, each bringing their spiritual gifts, abilities, and passion to make our choir a unique body. The level of talent may vary from person to person, but the heart and desire is the same for all. If you have a passion for worship and the desire to lead the church in worship, you are invited to be a part of the Sanctuary Choir.

Rehearsal time is 6:30 – 7:45 pm each Wednesday in the Choir Room.

Young at Heart Singers

The Young at Heart Singers share the love of God in a variety of ways. This group is made up of mature adults who love to sing, fellowship, and worship God together, and is open to members of any local church. This group sings for community and associational events, as well as worship services.

Rehearsal time is 1:00 – 2:00 pm each Monday in the Choir Room.

Winds of Praise

Our instrumental group plays a vital part in our worship services each week. This ministry is comprised of adults who have the experience, willingness, and desire to use their instrumental gifts each week to help draw people closer to the Lord.

Rehearsal time is 6:15 – 7:00 pm each Wednesday in Room 140.

Joy Ringers

This group of adult handbell ringers prepares music for worship that is inspirational and uplifting. The group is open to people not only with music reading skills, but also with the heart to lead others in worship.

Rehearsal time is 4:45 – 5:45 pm each Sunday in room 350.
