First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia is seeking to fill the position of Student Pastor.

The Student Pastor must be able to follow a vision for student and family ministries that leads to developing continuity in discipleship and ministry direction to students and their families; to plan and direct the church’s student ministry; to serve with the Pastor as a primary caregiver for the congregation; to work with the Pastor in leadership functions; to work a flexible 5-day work week, including Sunday, averaging 40-55 hours.

This person will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our student ministry (grades 6 – 12), provide leadership and direction to the church’s college ministry, work alongside the Pastor and staff to develop and ensure family ministry to all age groups, and perform other pastoral duties.

The Student Pastor must have a love for God, a love for teenagers, and a pastoral heart.  The Student Pastor must be an energetic, relational, highly motivated person with a deep foundation in scripture and a love for Christ, a pastoral heart with a passion to see youth grow in their relationship with Christ.

Specific Qualifications

  • A decided commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
  • A clearly defined calling to Christian ministry and a demonstrated commitment to student and family ministry as an expression of that calling.
  • A master’s degree from an accredited seminary or graduate school is preferred.
  • Three to five years’ experience ins student ministries is preferred.
  • Support of First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia’s identity and direction as described in its Mission Statement and its Identity Statement.
