Minister

Dr. Lee McGlone 

Lee came to FBC, Arkadelphia, in December 2006.  He is native to Arkansas (Prescott) and is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University.  He is also a graduate of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky (M.Div, Th.M., and Ph.D.).  He has served as pastor in churches in Arkansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Louisiana, and South Dakota and has taught in adjunctive positions at the Louisville seminary and also the North American Baptist Seminary in Sioux Falls, SD.  He and Brenda are parents to Christopher, Ashley and Nick.  Brenda is also a Ouachita graduate.  She served as an elementary teacher for a number of years, but most of all enjoys being a mother and grandmother.  Lee's hobbies include fishing and hunting, woodworking, gardening, and reading.  You can catch up with his life events and musings at www.leemcglone.blogspot.com (2007) or www.lmcglone.blogspot.com (prior to 2007). Associate Pastor/ Worship Minister

Will Thompson   

Will Thompson has served First Baptist Arkadelphia as Minister of Music & Senior Adults since 1988.  He is a native of Ada, Oklahoma, and received his Bachelor of Church Music degree (Magna Cum Laude) from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1980.  Will graduated with a Masters of Church Music degree from Southwestern Seminary in 1982.  He has served churches in Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas since 1977, and is actively involved in the CenturyMen and the Arkansas Master'Singers.  He also serves as second vice-moderator for Red River Baptist Association, and is on the Youth PraizFest committee for the Arkansas Baptist State Convention.  His wife, Janie, leads handbells, vocal ensembles, drama, and childrens' choirs at the church, and is a piano and voice teacher in the home.  His hobbies include bicycling, softball, tennis, and woodworking.

 

Associate Pastor/Youth and Family Minister

Jimmy Darby

Jimmy Darby began serving as Associate Pastor for Youth and Family Ministry at First Baptist Church in December of 2008.  Jimmy served from 2002-2008 as assistant campus minister at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway and most recently has served as interim campus minister at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.  Jimmy also served as assistant campus minister at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville from 2001-2002.  Jimmy has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and a M. Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
